New vs. used Swarovski SCL's????

I am debating purchasing a new pair of 15X56 Swarovski SCL's or a used pair in good condition. While I can save about 500 bucks on the used pair they are over 10 years old.

Can anyone tell me about any significant changes in the SLC's in the past 10 years that would justify the extra cash for a new pair?
