New stock for 300 H&H

I'm in the process of buying my buddy's Rem M721 chambered in 300 H&H. Any suggestions on a stock that will help (PLEASE) with recoil. Thx, jvansl

J, Boyd's laminate has several styles for the 721 and the option to upgrade to a Limbsaver pad is very reasonable. Your recoil can best be tamed by a brake or overall weight. Many don't like the weight and often go with a brake. Synthetic stocks are usually the lightest even with the aluminum block. Good luck
