I am new to the idea of using a picatinny/ weaver rail, and now that I have a rail on my 204 ruger/ rem 700 I would like to know what QD ring system is good for swapping scopes ? I ordered a set of non QD Warne's and realize I need 30mm but ordered 1" (lol) so I should bite the bullet and get QD instead of these permanent rings for future LR rifles I could put this scope on.
I am using an EGW rail, and don't think $100 bases and rings are in my mindset, but I am not shooting competition, just poking vermin... but I do hate a gun that can't, with me driving, get 3/4" at 100 5 shot groups, which all of my guns up to my 300 wby can do ( 3 shots, shooter flinch, ULW 8# gun)
Thanks for any suggestions, I am ready to buy the Warne QD but maybe another option is better.
