If you ever want to upgrade the trigger guard it is from a marlin 22 and its all metal

NIce! That's good to know. I'm fine with the plastic one right now. This is my treestand gun so I'll shave weight off of it anywhere I can.

I love how light, maneuverable and accurate these rifles are. When they were still around I ended up getting a couple of the youth length stocks to put back in case I need them later on

Awesome idea. I specifically bought the 243 for my wife and son to hunt with. He (he's 11) still hasn't used it yet but my wife loves it. It's her favorite deer rifle.
