Long Range Loads for 8 x 57

Old thread but I just thought I would post..1917 gew 98 made by cg hainel in suhl..8/57..it's a shooter..i bought it many years ago and someone had botched sporterizing it..put a new stock on it..its drilled and tapped.. decent hunting rifle not the fanciest nor really used much..but it's ok

this looked like an interesting thread. too bad I missed it ......8yrs ago......

I used to have about 2 dozen various 8x57s and loaded for them all. RIght now I'm down to a 700 classic that shoots sub .25 groups. Surprising for a round that was never known for it's great accuracy.
