Long range loads for 44 Mag carbine?

The 300grn XTP and IMR 4227 was used on 2 CA black bears and 4 assorted MT whitetails out of a 7 1/2 inch Ruger Redhawk pistol with iron sights for the bears and a red dot out to 125 yards on the whitetail. The load is like the hand of God swatted the life out of all the beasties.

The load is not a wrist breaker out of a pistol like H110. I would think the load would be a real killer out of a carbine. It is very accurate out of a pistol shot off shooting sticks.

Good luck with your load work ups.

I blew up my 44 carbine muzzle with Lead fouling.
I put a 20" cut down Marlin 444 barrel on it and drilled a gas hole.
I took it to the range and shot a group in 2007.
24 gr H110 240 gr JHP roll crimp 1.6" OAL
Quickload predicts 1752 fps 32,401 psi
Chrono measures 1720 fps, 1756 fps.
Shot a 0.9" 3 shot group with a 4X scope I could barely see the target.

Quicktarget thinks that if zeroed at 200 yards it will be 5.2" high at 100 yards.
1752 muzzle 1635 foot pounds
1385 100 y 1022 foot pounds
1122 200y 671 foot pounds

So yes, you could shoot a deer at 200 yards.
