Let’s play Long-ish range shooting monthly Challenge

Sounds like a good idea. We have a PRS Range so can shoot off of PRS stations. Unfortunately it's cold now and may be going in for spinal cord surgery again. Just had the MRI done yesterday and need some more xrays done in a few days.
I'm not much on prayers for myself, but I will certainly say one for you Brother!

It's 1/2" to each ring from the center dot. I didn't pay attention to the tape or I would have done a better job measuring it ( my hands were cold). I'll say 7/8" to middle of bullet hole to middle of target. I aimed for the middle of water bottle with the thermal and hit top 1/3 so I'll say 1 1/2" on that one.
300 wsm =7/8"
5.56= 1.5"

I will store these in my notes on phone

ddman, I really wish that shot was a bit farther away……I'm already in deep doo doo, and with only one shooter so far! 😁 memtb
I'm on route to get mine done , DDman is really putting the pressure on a guy haha
I even brought my callipers I sure hope I'm close enough that I can use them 🤣🙏

This is a lot harder than you would actually think. So here is my entry and I definitely don't have to worry about winning this month🤣
I brought the 22 just for fun

Grabbed first rifle I could get ahold of. (Ruger American Omega 300 on the end 55gr 223) Put my 9" pie plate up at the 100yd mark and let it go. Results speak for themselves. Before and after photos of pie plate. Whats next? Edit.....I think it should be decided on the first of next month. No practice or prep reps, just let er rip chip~~

Wow! What a morning……did some practice "dry firing" prior to "the shot"! Had I shot during some of the "dry fire" shots…..it would've taken a yardstick to measure at sear break! Went back into the house, downed 2 more cups of coffee to settle me down, came back and made "the shot"!

The photos show weather, outside conditions (bench is a measured 100 yards from the target frame), weight of rifle as shot, and the target.

"The Target" - is not representative of the "dry fire" shots, this is pure accident! My rifle is zero'd 3" high @ 100 yards, the yellow spot on the target is where the bullet should've hit.

Rifle is semi-custom Winchester Model 70, chambered in .375 AI, load is Barnes 270 LRX @ 3018 mv……chrono'd this morning.

Again, I probably couldn't duplicate this shot in a week of shooting…..but I'll take it! memtb

Trm82, I may be gone most of February, but will continue stay on the site and follow the activities. Very likely will be the end of the month before I shoot! memtb
Copy that !! Hopefully you'll be able to get your shot down in February 🤞

Also for everyone , I was thinking that I'm not going to keep track of all shots.
DDman is the leader so far so I won't bother till someone beats or ties 7/8".
