Lapua stopped making 300 win mag brass ?

    Anybody know if this is true ?

    Their site still shows it - i emailed them but no response as of today.

    Don't sweat it!

    The word is RWS is just as good if not better, cheaper too.

    is RWS supposed to be as strong and durable as the Lapua? or just more consistant?

    No longer manufactured. I found that out after my 300WM chamber was cut with a Lapua spec reamer. I scrambled and bought a thousand hulls. And no, I'm not selling :)

    Just as strong and durable, if not more so, has been my experience. What I've read also confirms this. The case heads are tough and the primer pockets are slow to enlarge at higher pressures, meaning longer case life at full pressure loads.

    Only problem w/ RWS

    The only problem with RWS cases is that they haved stopped importing them into the USA and the dollar to euro exchange rate will kill you.

    They quit making it about a year ago.
