NO, rifle is not a "rail gun"...
It is a man-portable ( shoulder-fired ) "place gun"
set up to for shooting off rear bags and front rest for group shooting; or.....
In the field, I typically just balance rifle on a rear bag
( I have not yet $$$ for a large forend-holding type
" bulls bag " )
Another hardware store gave me the aluminum "I" beam for free ! It was originally the cneter support beam for a vinyl deck railing system, made by " Certentied Corp",; famous for making roofing shingles.
Rail is substantial, and heavy.
Rail wt rivals or exceeds my Palma profile barrel's
wt ( it's a .224 centerfire wildcat )
