Started load development with RL16 and 140 Hornady eld-m's. Shooting these loads in a Savage BA Stealth, 24 inch barrel, in an MDT Lss xl chassis. Shot 5, 3 shot groups starting at 40.6 grains with .3 grain increments. Load length of 2.212" which is .02 off the lands. As always your rifle may be different so start low and work up. Here are the results with avg velocity, group size, Es, and SD

40.3, 2658, .874, 26, 13
40.6, 2682, .963, 10, 5
40.9, 2708, .573, 51, 26
41.2, 2722, .800, 11, 6
41.5, 2740, .366, 9, 5

Going to run some at 41.4, 41.6, and 41.7 to see where I am at. Got plenty of room to go higher. First time I had shot this rifle..

Wow, someone sharing actual testing results. I commend you sir. There are a large percentage of people want to find the perfect load from their keyboard.

Thank you sir! These are below listed max and I threw the disclaimer in, so I thought it would be fine to share. I certainly have to do more testing as this is a very small sample size. Not looking to shoot past 600 yds for now so barrel & brass life is a little more important than speed to me now.
