Trying to find a max load for 300 weatherby with 180 grain accubonds...

Any suggestions for max and also some charges that you have found shoot well. Especially for a mk v ulw with a skinny barrel.

you might want to try something just a bit slower burn rate RL22, VVN165 or IMR7828.

I use 79 gr of H 4831 under a 190 Berger. I have took it up to 83 gr. and accuracy was not as good. It is a stock 26" accumark barrel. Velocity is just over 3000. Not a screamer but I use this rifle with a XVIII LR and the BC reticle. The reticle lines come in at 200, 300, 450 and 550. That is as far as I will shoot this rifle. Hope this helps!

My 300 ULW really likes 82.5-83 gr of 4831. Pretty much a max load in my rifle.
It shoots the 180 TSX's around 3/4" @ 100 yards. 3256 fps
