Sometimes I have seen the 13x40 MSC lathe on ebay used for $3000 - $4000 and a new one is around $7500 I think. You can get one with 3 phase or single phase motor. They are made in Tiwan but they are good quality. Also colchester made a 13 x 40 and sometimes you can find them on ebay and some of the used machinery dealers on the web. I have seen them go for $3000 to $5000. If you can find one in good shape that would be a very good lathe for gun work. If I had the room for another lathe I would buy one in a heartbeat.
