Inukshuk:
When talking about shooting under field conditions you will see the following mentioned in a lot of posts on these forums. Allow 1moa for the gun and allow 1moa for the shooter. Thus, if the kill zone of your chosen animal is 10 inches, the maximum distance you would be capable of is 10" divided by 2moa (gun and shooter) which would equal 500 yards.
You will probably find that your personal capabilites with different field conditions may give you better, read longer, capabilities for one position and less distance for a different position. You may find that prone you would be good for more than 500 yards but sitting you may only be good for 400 yards.
Say that your gun is consistently capable of averaging .5 moa and you can consistently perform at .5 moa prone, then that 10" kill zone taget would be one that you should be capable of making, prone, at 1000 yards.
Under your 200 yard conditions mentioned, the 2moa rule would get you approximately 4" goups.
Remember though that these are field conditions and some people impose range limits on themselves no matter what the gun or shooter are capable of.
Really you just need to fully know your capabilities under all different field conditions and then apply them when hunting. Clear as mud huh?
