I bought a buffalo and I will be going to shoot it next week. I am going to use my 416 rigby with 400 gr TSX. It wont be a hunt its more of a pen shoot. The guy has it in a 50 acre pasture. But I will get to try the rigby out on something alive so should be fun. It is a young buffalo and i dont think it will be any match for the Rigby but I am still excited. and after that I am going bear hunting so should be a great week

A group of us went in on a buffalo cow when I was in college at MSU, really great meat, better(more lean) than a normal cow. We also "harvested" ours the same way although it want with anything as fun as a 416 rigby, we used a 325wsm

Now that is gonna be FUN! Been tossing around an idea like this with a few of my buddies so we can all split up the meat.

I think I would use a 45-70 levergun.

Post back with how it all goes with your 416. gun)
