Buying primers at a local LGS or somewhere where you can avoid Hazmat and shipping expense will ease the pain a bit. If you are ordering online, buy as much as you can in bulk to reduce the unit expense of shipping.

Or go in with a friend(s) and share the cost.

Where in WY are you? Scheels in Billings had several thousand in stock yesterday for $80-$100/1000. I didn't see any BR though (but I wasn't looking)

I've been doing some spring cleaning and came across a receipt from November of 2018, I paid $31 for 1000 CCI200 primers. In the last year I have started to figure out why my dad has always thought everything is too damned expensive. Which has led me to understand what getting old feels like. lol

Most of my primers I bought for less than 15 bucks a grand. Some under 10 bucks. Had I known then I'd have bought way more. At 10,000 right now and feel comfortable.

Awesome….a very bright man! I'm comfortable with my primers! But, I'll remain very conservative in there usage! Unlike the man shipwrecked on a desert island that consumes all of his rations on the first day or so…..just knowing he would be rescued! Or, a man that borrows money assuming he will win the lottery…..ain't the "sharpest knife in the drawer"! memtb

Natchez has some CCI BR2's for $170 for a 1000.

Is this stupid high that I should avoid? I started shooting not to long ago and don't have as big of a stock as some you you guys. I am on my last 100 primers, so while this price is high should i get some because they have some?

I won't do it, I'm not going to be raped, but to each his own as there are plenty that will pony up. With that said I can afford to somewhat picky because I have some primers that I stocked up on before this crisis hit.
If I get down to a hundred (panic time) then I will look for more for sure, but it won't be the $170.00 ones.

I did this a few years ago for FM215's and friend decided not to pay for his share when delivered. So I "had" to keep entire case. I still thank him time to time.....

It was back when FM215 was $37.95/1000 so buying 5 in case wasn't bad but still annoying prob more now to him than me!! So I am good to go with 215's!!

I will do it again but money in advance!! Cash in hand is still King!!

I would do the shared cost but only with someone I totally trust. And then it's probably A good idea to be willing to keep everything if it goes wrong
