Favorite Antelope cartridge

If you've set you your selection on the Nosler Liberty, consider the 28 Nosler, you won't regret the choice.

My antelope only cartridge was a 25-06/100gr B-Tip in a Rem Sendero, until I had a 7STW purpose built for 140 B-tips, all antelope were in range from then on.

I'd concur with 25-06 but would add the 264WM if the additional velocity is desired.

I vote .25-06 Rem as well. Has to be the best Antelope cartridge ever. (.257 Weatherby is like a +P version, so more 'goodness' there!)

But a visit to Nosler's website shows they don't chamber anything in .25-06 at the moment. :(

So, perhaps .26 Nosler instead?
25 06 fir sure but both .308 and the creed are fine I take around 4 a year here in wyoming 800 yds no problem with .308 win 150 gr when wind is real bad 6.5 can be a little straiter with 140 gr

My go-to for antelope is a 6.5x284 loaded with 140gr VLD's.

.257 Wby got my Az antelope. However, I'm in awe of my son's heavy barrel 25-06. 115 Bergers in both with H1000 in the Wby and Retumbo in the 25-06. Lance, got my Az tag in 7 years and neice's daughter in two. I'm at 12 points now.
I was at 25 this year with no tag in hand still. 26 going into next year.

For years my 25-06AI that my brother and I built has been my go to and has taken bunches of deer and speedgoats. Last year got a 6.5 PRC from MOA Rifles and it's now my go to with a smokin load with 135 Berger classic! It's a 0.25 moa out to 800 yards. Took 3 goats from 258 to 735yards and all were DIT! As much as I think a 6.5 of any kind shouldn't be used on elk, I'm tempted to shoot a cow this winter on my place with it. I can control about every aspect of taking one so should be low chance of bad outcome. A double lung at 250yards should work perfect from what I've seen!
