Hello,

Could someone tell me the difference between a Sako and Remington extractor?
I was entertaining the thought of getting a replacement bolt for my Rem SA.

Thanks for your time

The Sako style and the M-16 style are both stronger due to being made from heavier machined steel where the Rem factory extractor is a piece of thin stamped steel that rivited into the bolt face of the bolt.
the Sako mod to the rem bolts are supposed to make them "much" more reliable and last alot longer.

Honestly I have never had a problem with the factory units and I've bent case rims trying to get stuck cases free.
I did replace one that was bunk from the factory ordered a new replacement from Brownells.
If your gonna get a custom bolt you may as well get all the goodies
