Browning Safari Bolt problem

Well, I have been given a Browning Safari that was a 30-06 and then the guy rechambered it to 300 win mag. The bolt face was [ opened up?], and it left the edge too thin which resulted in the little amount left breaking off when he tried to eject the first round, now there is nothing for the ejector to hold the brass against so it won't hold it and throw it out. So my question is, do I need to try to find a new bolt or can something else be done? This gun shoots very well, just have to raise it up to help the spent brass out of the chamber. Any Ideas?

Thanks
Mark

What a shame that he modified that old Browning. I'm sure one of the smiths here can offer a workable solution for you.
