Just finished reading Peter Lessler's book Shooter's Guide to Rifle Marksmanship.

I did not have anyone to teach me solid basic technique for practical position rifle shooting with a sling. I discovered this book after reading Rifleslinger's Art of the Rifle Blog.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Lessler's book and in my opinion it does an excellent job of discussing the basics of rifle shooting using positions and how to make them work. The book has many good illustrations and a couple of chapters devoted to Ballistics, wind doping, and understanding MOA.

I highly recommend it to anyone interested in practical aided and unaided rifle shooting techniques. It is not a dedicated long range shooting/hunting book.
