I am wondering if I need to can my alpha brass in my 6mm creedmoor,
I run this brass in my 6.5 creed and it absolutely loves it 42 grains of N160 Fed 210M primers and 140 grain Nosler BT

But I just put this 6mm together about a week ago I have yet to chronograph anything but I was looking for some start loads for H4350 and N160 I can't find anything on N160 but I did on H4350.

My start load was 38.5 grains shooting 115 DTacs I couldn't get that to group and was flattening primers 39 grains was flattening primers and leaving a pretty good ejector mark, so I didn't dare go any higher,

N160 I started at 41 grains and it was flattening primers and had an alright group and 41.5 was an excellent group but was leaving an ejector mark pretty good on the case.

I'm wondering if I should go to lapua or even thinner brass like Hornady

My barrel is a carbon six 1/7 twist

I'm going to double check my headspace with a different set of go gauges and do another ladder test using less powder and chronograph my results if I could get a good group at 2900 I would be happy but from what I've heard about the dtacs they like 3 grand

Alpha brass states that lower charge weights should be used since their brass is heavier and has less capacity. Meaning higher pressures.
What speeds are you running?
I am using Lapua SR brass for my 6CM w. H4350, Fed GM210M and 105 Hybrids. Love it. 3090 for my lighter loads (42.0gr) and 3240 for my hunting loads (44.0gr) now that my barrel has about 80 rounds down it. I hit pressure @ 45.0gr in mine. 24" 1:7.5" Proof. Just shot a five shot group right at 2" @ 851 yards on Thursday morning.

How much does a piece of your Alpha weigh?
My 300 pieces of Lapua weigh an average of 166.0gr (+/- .6gr) for an unprimed case.

I am still waiting on my headspace gauge to show up, we set it using 4K worth of tape on a sized case, it hasn't been growing brass or anything like I said I don't have many rounds through it and I am not going to shoot it again until I can check my headspace. I'm hoping that's the issue.

The 6 creed runs much better with much slower powders than the 6.5 Dump the 4350 and try 4955 H1000 and RL26. Your brass will thank you with the 115

I run H4350 in my 6CM with phenomenal results. My lighter target load runs 3060 w. 105 Hybrids and my hunting load runs just over 3200 with 105 Hybrids. I can get 3150 with 115 HVLDs as well. What are you seeing with H1000? Because I want a stable powder for hunting in all conditions, so RL26 is off the table for me.

About 25% better throat life for H1000 and better consistency on 10 shot+ strings of fire. I don't have the temp swings where I hunt to see issues with 26 like you would it has more speed and shoots well in everything I've tried it with. Tough to give up what you have but H1000 may help make it last longer
