Has anyone tried a .243 90 grain E-Tip in a 1 in 10" twist barrel? I'm shooting a .243 Win. with a 24" barrel. Velocity should be around 3100 fps. Elevation 4000 feet. I know, Nosler recommends a 9" twist but I've got this shiny box of bullets that's begging to be opened and I'm dying to try them out. However, if someone can tell me that it definitely will not work I can still exchange them for something else.

Couldn't wait so I loaded some up and gave them a try. Evidently they will stabilize in a 10 twist barrel!! Still got more work to do. They generate pressure a lot worse than conventional bullets. 38 gr of H4350 was as high as I could go without making the bolt stick. Think I'll try a different powder and see how that works.
