7mm Rem Mag Barrel Length?

Just curious if a 24" barrel is long enough to shoot out to 1000yrds? Really interested in getting Tikka's HB Varmint in the 7 Rem Mag but it only comes in 24" barrel. Is it long enough or will it limit me for long ranges? Thanks.

24" will get you to a 1000 yards. I run a 28" and feel i only gained roughly 100fps.

I shoot a 24" Rem 700 and get 3015fps with the 160gr Nosler accubond. No problem getting to 1000yds with it.

All things being equal, I'd choose a 26" barrel for the 7mm Rem Mag though.
