Looking for a good 65 Creedmoor load. Stopped using less than 30 caliber years ago for elk. My daughter and I have a bull elk tag in Colorado this year. She has a 65 Creedmoor that she shoots fairly well. I have some burger 140s and 130G accubonds. Would like to get maximum velocity out of this round. Thanks

Should look at using RL26 for max velocity with the CM. Lots of recipes out their for it. I run a 140 gr EH Berger at 2905 FPS with a 24" barrel using RL26. The powder is very popular and hence hard to find at times.
Berger even has load data for RL26 and the 135 Classic Hunter.

I will look at burgers data thanks

Should give the 156 EOL a go, they have more "pack-a-punch", with 2650fps/2441ftlb at the muzzle, is what I'v developed. Tested out to 1045yds on elk size steel vital...just a suggestion.

Did some load finalizing/seating depths, on a previous RL17 test of 39.8gn and it was better than the H4350, with no sticky bolt. Best was the 2.160 cbto, ES 10, AVel 2752, muzzle energy 2623 ft-lbs. This is my new elk back-up rifle load.
