4X4 Show And Tell!!! You need them for LR shooting!!!

Fabbed this for the General just for that reason. Rifles are slipped into woven silicon socks to keep them clean.
Lots of roof or floor mount kits are out there for trucks and jeep types.

I need to set up one. I mostly hunt alone so most any mount is fine. But I prefer muzzle down and need to come up with a system. Either store bought or DIY.

Built this box for between seats, removed useless console. Can hold 3 rifles as long as center one is short barrel. As it's mounted, 26"barrels hit dash, moving box back an inch would fix that. Center grid hooks 4 boxes of rifle ammo and a box of shotgun shells. This is for ram 2500. I've made them for Nissan KC from 1985, samurai, bronco2, and now the ram since 2004.

I had a 83 and 84 straight axle short bed yotas. I still have a complete rebuild kit for them with pistons and an rv cam if anyone is interested.
What I sold to buy the 4rnnr DD, called it "Patch", bet ya can't guess why:

4.88's, 33-10.50's, Detroit X Lockrite, GM 63's x OME's, Bils, 22R. Miss it badly, starting to think about building another one, better. Linked front, 3.4, doubler, but same tire size. Oh, and in one color!
What was posted above about low key builds and not needing 37's and a big block is spot-on!

Hey that's a great idea. Plus I could make a carpeted top so the dog can sit up front when we're out fishing. Thanks for the idea!

One of several choices of hunting rigs-

First one is for when I'm hunting solo, second one is when the Mrs goes along.

6.7 Cummins with compound turbos, big injectors, and the required Twin Disc clutch.

Still looking for pics of my other hunting rigs. Sure nice to have choices!

Compounds are next for my 2005. A lot of extras needed though as you know.

Well, I finally got to see your truck…..even "if" it was on this forum!

Nice ride…..glad that it's working good for ya! 👍 memtb

I'll play:

2008 Taco 4x4
LEER Cap
Truck Vault dual drawer system.

My shooting gear stays in the truck. When I used to travel a bit shooting in service rifle matches, the Truck Vault system came in handy. Weapons in one drawer, ammo in the other.

I took out all dealer stickers as well as the 4x4 sticker. After I destroyed a couple of mud flaps, I removed the rest.

Nice set up!

You just need to stop by sometime on your way through and see it in person! It's a beast, that's for sure.

Ron

On a road trip now, but won't be coming your direction …..I don't think! Need to do an axle alignment on the camper…..wearing a tire badly! We may detour through Billings, if we can get it into the shop!

A "gear head" friend of mine went the twin turbo route, with larger injectors, high grade head bolts, ect. It's a powerhouse much like yours! memtb
