I shot it yesterday for the first time. Started with 110 grains. Tested H 50 BMG, RL 33, H 1000, Retumbo, and VV570. The H1000 and 570 were more interesting. Did the shot and clean routine. Then tried 116 gr. H1000, finally 120 gr. Of H1000 which yielded 3068fps with 350 grain Sierra's jammed.
The greatest supprise was the lack of recoil. The T5 brake was so good that I removed the RAD.
Glad to see everything is coming together well for you Terry, nice looking rifle and it should be fun seeing what the limits are as how far you can push it with consistency. I see some good times ahead stretching things out. Cheers
I shot the 37XC and the 338 Edge last weekend at the Dasher Dome in Dixon Springs, TN.
The 338 Edge shot well, and I came up with some improvements on the XC. I will be fitting it with a new scope rail.
The dovetail to picatinny adapter did not hold up well.
I'm looking for some RL26 (like everyone) for the Edge. It shoots 256's at 3250 with it.
Are u finding the faster powders like H1000 are giving you better velocity and s.d.'s with the 350gr-405gr bullets than retumbo, 8133, v570, re33 burn rate powders?

I switched to H1000 from N570 in my 37xc shooting Warner 361's.
WAY better SD's and a little more velocity with nearly the same charge weight
120.5 gr H1000
361 Warner
3108fps
