has any one built an improved version of a 338edge are 338-300rum? and if so what kind of where the seeds did you get?

I am in the process of building my personal 338-300 ultra rouge. 37 degree shoulder and .012 body taper. I am using a 1 in 10, twist 32" Broughton 5C 7.97 contour with 8 flutes. I will be using a Lawton 7500 receiver in a McMillan A-4 or A-5. I am anxious to get this running. I have the barrel and have fluted it and I have the reamers, one for chambering the barrel and one .003 under for making a full length sizing die. I am waiting on a 7000 Lawton receiver and when I receive it I will make the decision weather I will go with the 7500 or a trued up Remington 700 with a custom bolt. As far as muzzle velocity I am hoping for 3000+ FPS. with the 300 SMK's. I will be offering 2-die sets with all chambering in this cartridge. I will be using Nosler brass which I am very impressed with and is still more economical than the 338 Lapua route, plus you still have the option of Remington brass. I am hoping to finish my project late sring 2007 and will be sure to post results.
I do not see a huge advantage over the 338edge,if any. I just wanted to go a little different route.

Rob Carnes of Williams Gun Sight has been building the
338 O'Brian, which is a 338-300 RUM AI w/ a 40* shoulder.
The Nosler 250 gr PT will do 3250 fps, 225 gr AB will go 3500 fps and the 185 gr TSX will go 3600 fps. Barrel is a Hart #5 27".
I am going to go with a 338 Edge, pleanty of performance and simple case prep without the fireforming process.

Just curious...what will your OAL of the case be? Neck length? Thanks.
Hi i have a 338 WBX on the table i am getting the components together at the moment have the action, stock has been made and on the way. the reamer is here i am just waiting on the barrel. I also have the trigger and i will be sleving the action and am waiting for it aswell.
Tha case is the 375 ulrta necked down to 338 with a 340 long neck 60 degree shoulder and 15 thou body taper i am also looking to push the 300gr MatchKing at around 3000fps.

neck length would be .3332
free bore diameter .3385
length of free bore .287
length from case neck to lead .303
no turn neck .371
These dimentions are off my reamer prints.
