What would be your ultimate 3 gun battery?
Gun 1 - varmits up to wood chucks.
Gun 2- coyotes, antelope + deer size came?
Gun 3 - elk and larger?
My choices- 22-250, 257 weatherby and 338rum

1. 204 Ruger (40 or 50 gr.)
2. 6mm (243AI or 6-06)
3. 338 Allen Mag

Maybe a little light on 1 and 2, but I think enough on the last one.

3 GUNS, just can't do it!!!!!!

One Shotgun and one .22.

That only leaves room for one centre fire rifle. Better make it a big one!

Topshot

I was thinking just rifles didn't clarify - however you are correct.

How about
.22 rifle
30-06
300win - just because the guys I grew up hunting with used
338rum
everyone should have an AR15
12ga O/U to show some class
12ga semi auto

OK that's better.

Now I would have a 12ga U/O as we are not permitted to own a semi auto in our Fashist state. (did I spell that right?)

A bolt action .22 for the same reason.

A .222 for killing rabbits and foxes about the house.

A .338WM for a walk about deer rifle

A .338 EDGE for my long range stuff.

What do I have? well including the above. The EDGE is being built and I have a .25-06 for smaller deer, a .458Win Mag, for real big deer and a 410 shotgun for snakes built on an old .303 rifle.

Sorry to hear about the semi auto ban - unfortunately if people don't wake up here we will be in the same boat - hopefully we are not to far down that road yet - however I'm afraid we may be.

On the other hand I'd love to live where a guy has a 338wm for a walk around deer rifle and a 458win for the big ones.

Congratulations on the edge. I'm having a 338rum built by Defensive Edge. Hopefully will have it by late summer.

I am trying the three gun thing but I dont have a .338 and I really really need (want) one. I have Mossberg 400 .22 ( I won it 45 yrs ago), and LH .223, and a LH .270, and a RH Model 70 7mm Rem Mag LRH rifle. But somehow the variety seems incomplete without a .338 Alaskan of some type.
