I have a seekins havak 300 prc coming and was curious if guys have had good luck with 215s in a 1:10 twist. Bergers calculator says I'm good as long as I get them to 2975 which should be pretty doable. Just looking for real life experience

The 215 hybrids are fine in a 1:10,

If you want to get the best BC you can out of them, a faster twist will help with that.

Atmospherics (air pressure and temperature) can have a significant effect on stability, but the bottom line is they will stabilize and fly straigt at sea level out of a 1:10.

I shoot the 230's with a 1:10 and 1:9 twist and can't tell the difference between either. One rifle is at 2800 and the other is 2955. Find a load and don't turn back, you will be fine.

I believe the 300Prc comes with 8twt.
But 215 work very well with 10twt.

OMG. A 18" flame thrower.
That's Great, I wanted to do that years ago, but my dad talked me out of it,.🤣
Suppress it, it's not too bad. Just make sure your can manufacturer is fine with the cartridge at that length. Some only suggest 20 is the minimum.

I've shot the 215 Bergers and the 220 Bergers out of my 300 WSM with a 1-10" twist Kreiger barrel wirh great results in 1000 yard BR matches.
215's at 2880 fps, 220's at 2850 fps.
