2 way Radios

Im looking for radios that have better range than the Garmin Rino. Anybody use anything that would be better?

We use a set of Cobra's here on the farm for inter tractor communications. I can get about 3 miles line of sight out of them.

I use the small uniden waterproof fm type. I also have base units boat type in rigs. The small are 1/5 watt switchable. Line of site get some good distance

Distance with radio's depends a lot on the terrain in witch you use them. Mountains-canyons- radio waves do bounce but the little hand helds you buy at the store are only as good as the terrain you use them in.
