160 7mm Tipped matchking TMK ?

I wish I had a 150 balliatic tip, 160 TMK, and 162 amax. cross sectioned so that I could see the construction similarities.

Yes, I wonder how the jacket thickness would compare?

For my needs; I need a bullet that will expand rapidly at low impact velocites so I can cleanly take medium size game out to 1000yds and have a really high BC

So far the 7mm 160gr TMK has preformed flawlessly for my needs and I have no plans to change at this point!

The deal is it's a Rem. Sendero that will not shoot 168 vld. I've tried many many seating depths and 6 powders. After about 400 vlds I figured if it can't shoot a quality tangent ogive bullet than it gets rebarreled. NBT have excelled in every barrel I've used them in. I believe the TMK is a secant bullet, so we'll see.

Keep me updated as I would be very curious to know!

Loaded up some 150nbt with 7828 (long cut) and flung 'em at 200 yards.

I think I'll be loading a few more. I really wish I'd have loaded 5 !!

whitetail doe (taken under TX MLD permit) @ 700yds w 160gr TMK
1st pic shows entrance (I was a little low) broke shoulder going in

2pic shows exit, approx 3x4in exit hole

3rd pic is heart, I missed it low but had enough expansion and velocity to pop it with the shockwave. data shows impact of 2073fps

TMK proves to be the ticket for me again on mid-size game!

658 yds today on another Texas MLD doe using my 7rem w the 160gr TMK. Shot was low and forward in the chest but hit bone and got enough expansion for a clean kill. TMK proves again a great option for long range hunting on midsize game

That's great to know, I'm shooting 160grain Accubond rightbnow, but just saw these on sale at midway. Great post, I want to try em out.
