Hi Guys
I have been using 117gr pro hunters for my hunting load goats, pigs and deer.
I am keen to experiment with 115gr VLD's and 117gr SST's.
What are your thoughts? And what loads are you using.

cheers LR

Save your money and powder and stick with the 117 Sierra. Best all round bullet for the 25-06 that I have used excluding the Berger because I have not used it. I have become a if it ain't broke don't try to fix it person though in my old age. :D After killing a couple hundred deer with the 117 Sierra Pro Hunter from point blank to around 600 yards and can't remember having to track one over 50 yards with 99% of them dropping in their tracks I see no need to change anything.

LR, my son and I both shoot the 115 Berger. Son's 25-06 with H4831 SC through 26" heavy barrel, my .257 Weatherby H1000. The 25-06 is most accurate @ 200+ yards (sub 1/3 MOA) the .257 Wby 1/2 MOA @ 200. We both tried the 110 Accubond, but not as accurate. Have not tried the SST's but they should be worth a try. Good luck

I guess the terminal results are good since you still use them.
