    Spotting scope recomendations Please

Anybody got any recomendations for a spotting scope I can use on my Elk hunts? I noticed on this site a decent spotting scope recomendation for the Nikon XL 15-45 and it sounds like what I need. Anything else I should take a look at before I order the Nikon? Thanks for any help!

4200 Elite or 6500 Elite info and advice welcome

Hi All ! I picked out a scope for my 300 WM a 4200 4-16 50mm a while back and while waiting for my new rifle I noticed Bushnell has produced a 6500 Elite 4.5 - 30 50mm. Is this 6500 a hunting scope? is this 4.5x - 30x for real? Any thoughts and info appreciated, Thanks

Problems with the new Tikka 25 06

Tim I have found in some Tikka's and Sako's that they have to much free bore, you might want to check this out as well. I have sent 2 Sako's back on the 1 MOA garantee and had both replaced by Sako although it's a slow process. good luck

Sako 75 action for LR project ? Advice Apreciated !

I hear you when you say just take the short route and buy a shooter from Kirby probably cheaper in the long run and a better shooter for sure. The Sako and Tikka rifles I have seen and used in 300 WSM for starters have way to much free bore, I don't like the look of the crown or rifling but...

Sako 75 action for LR project ? Advice Apreciated !

Well I bought a new Sako 75 finnlite in 300 WSM topped it off with a Leupold 4.5-14 and tried it out with some carefully built reloads. I have to tell you I'm dissapointed in rifle and scope, shoots about 1.25"-1.5" I'm thinking I will have the lugs lapped and rebarrel with a cut rifled barrel...

    338 Edge info needed?

I'm looking at going to the 338 Edge for my next LR project and I would like a little info if anybody could help me out. I have read here that what is the easiest route to go is ream out a 338 Sendero. Are we reaming a 338WM into a 338 Ultra Mag ? or are we modifying an existing 338 Ultra Mag...

300WSM Tikka/Finnlite freebore problem or safety feature?

comments : Hello! Why all the Free Bore in the Sako Finnlite and Tikka 300WSM? My brand new Sako 300WSM and also my sons Tikka 300WSM have poor accuracy most likely due to this so why do this? To get reasonable accuracy I will need to rebarrel these rifles at my own expense, sending them back is...

    Barrel twist effect on bullet

What about 200gr Accubonds at 2900fps? I thought I would be good to go with the old standby 1/10 but after reading through some of this info I'm not really sure.

Number of grooves for best accuracy?

I have heard some time ago that the 6 groove don't stand up as well but that was only 1 opinion. I probably will go with the 5R Mike Rock barrel but I have also heard rumblings that although the 5R type rifling does not foul as easily the rounded edges of the rifling don't bite into the bullet...
