    30-378 WBY and H50BMG Powder

Anyone using this combination? I have been testing some RL22, and getting ready to test some H1000. However, I was recently in a store and saw a can of this and decided to grab it. I am using Barnes TTSX in 180 gr. I loaded some of these last night, and I didn't really like the amount of...

Gunwerks rifles, Huskemaw scopes, and The BOTW

I'm not trying to start an argument.....or claim to know it all.....but my data shows: 1000yd IBS match: July 11, 2009; 75*F; 23.50-23.25 MOA (zero at 100) 1000yd IBS match: August 22, 2009; 77*F; 24.25 MOA (zero at 100) Both of these were shot at the same range, same benches....target in...

Gunwerks rifles, Huskemaw scopes, and The BOTW

I am sorta curious about something. I was hoping to get some opinions from you guys on the above listed items. I watch their show nearly every week, but am sorta on the fence about their "system". I'm not necessarily in the market for any of their products, but would be interested maybe...

anyone using the forster bushing bump die??

I use on for a 6x47 Lapua. It is true that you sometimes still need a body die, but not real often. Well, I guess it depends on your caliber and load....but the loads for my longrange comp. gun are real easy on brass. On a side note, it's handy to have more than one bushing on hand. For...

Continue load work-up.....or am I there?

I thought that on a couple of the 91 gr loads, I might have had a very minor hangfire. I thought I could hear the trigger break just as the gun fired......but not 100% sure. I may continue with my other loads (from 93-97.5 grains). Thanks!

Continue load work-up.....or am I there?

I began working up loads for two different guns. I acheived good accuracy on the lower loads and just stopped. I am not sure if I should try some of the hotter loads, or be happy with the results that I already have. I guess the only down side, I'll have slower velocities than the guns are...

    .243 Seating depth......please help

I thought I would work up some varmint loads, so I just started loading for my .243 bolt-action rifle. I do not have a .243 Hornady Modified Case for my OAL gauge yet, so I thought I would just go off the C.O.A.L's listed in my reloading manuals. I started loading Barnes 58 gr. Varminator's last...

    Getting set up.....opinions?

Thanks for all the help guys! I really appreciate it. Winchester - Sinclair is great! I have definitely become a frequent shopper since I started BR shooting. I will probably get a lot of my stuff from there. I may start with the book that you and others have suggested. Thanks again!

    Getting set up.....opinions?

They sell shellholder jaws that will accept the 30-378.....and that's about as big as I need to go. Famous last wordsn right? Lol!!

    Getting set up.....opinions?

I'm on Forster's website now. They say it has 1 1/2" more clearance than the previous model. I'm kinda liking the looks/sounds of this press.

    Getting set up.....opinions?

The guy that has been loading for me is using a Forster or Redding press.......but can't remember which one. Another buddy of ours uses a RCBS RC. I think I'll probably be ok no matter which way I go. I win my first 1000 match last weekend.....and my buddy that loads my shells isn't "crazy"...

    Getting set up.....opinions?

Hi all..... Since I got started in longrange benchrest shooting, a friend of mine has been loading my ammo for me. Reloading is something I have wanted to get into for many years, but always put it off. Well, I figured now would be a good time to start.....so I can load my benchrest ammo...

Modify what I already have.....or buy new??

Lol....I hear ya!! My BR setup uses 39.2 gr. of H4350. This Weatherby setup will be for hunting. I'll stick with the 6x47 Lapua for BR 1000. The only thing I like about the 20 moa base is that once you start cranking it up.....you are still in the middle of your scope.....and have pleny of...

Modify what I already have.....or buy new??

I didn't realize it had that much adjustment. Cool deal!! Well, while I have the scope off, I may change the bases and rings anyway. I may either go with Talley.....or a "flat" Ken Ferrel base with picatinny rings. What do you think? On a side note...I walked outside about 45 minutes...

Modify what I already have.....or buy new??

Thanks for the help guys!! I appreciate it! AJ, I have the fine duplex reticle....but I am thinking about having it changed to the "TMR" reticle. Also, I will "click" for elevation as opposed to a ballistic reticle. I am comfortable with this method. I shoot in 500, 600, and 1000 yd...
