Put a Berger 190 VLD through my first LR coyote this afternoon. Caught a big male crossing a levee just before dusky dark. I ranged him at 508 yards. Dialed in 7 MOA elevation and 1.5 MOA left wind for a 5 mph quartering breeze. Coyote disappeared at shot due to recoil but I heard the "kawok" of the bullet hitting flesh.
The rifle was a Remington 700 in 300 WM topped with a NF 5.5-22x56 NXS. Pushing the Berger at 2956 fps with H4831SC. The coyote never knew what hit him. I could of put my fist into the exit wound. This piece is going to ruin a lot of deer meat this season.

Whether you can see the hit or not that "sucking THwaCK" never lies.
