I know it's not technically long range, but I don't believe a levergun should wear glasses and am excited to hunt open sights with an old friend pushing the most modern bullet technology. I'll likely be hunting inside 250 yards, which I consider far for the round and my equipment.
Just received my box of Lever Hammers and put a few rounds together in my 30-30AI cases. I expect to see 2600+ with these little pills and can't wait to try them out on the next coyote or bear I come across.
Just wanted to post some pics of this bullet because i think it really brings the old 30-30 into a different world of capability.
I'll post velocities and on game performance as things begin to develop.
