I'm shooting a Ruger Predator in 6.5 CM with a new Gemtech Tracker supressor I just got. Using factory Hornady 143 gr Eldx Precision Hunter ammo, I'm experiencing heavy/sticky bolt lift.
The question is, other than the annoyance of a sticky bolt, is there anything dangerous about this? Or will it cause damage to the rifle? It does it with Hornady Superformance 120gr GMX, too.
I went ahead and took the rifle elk hunting this last week. I ended up tagging a funky antlered bull at 200 yards. I hit him right in the boiler room. He shuttered and wheeled around the opposite way but only went about 25 yards before dropping.
