Found this bull adjacent to some private ground. What do you see in him that gives you concern and what do you do?

It looks like it could be CWD also. He doesn't look right, contact fish and game and see what they think. He will have to be put down. Nature can be really cruel sometimes.

No, I would not try to take the antlers. That would surely take away the common sense and discretion I would be hoping for. My actions would be purely ethical and humanitarian.

If I hadn't already punched my tag for that area, I would have put him down, tagged him, and turned the meat over to F&G. Called them and gave them the bulls location - hope they lessened his suffering

Now, you are a man I can agree with. I use that little tale of wisdom sometimes myself. I really wouldn't expect to see any commonsense or discretion from a state, and especially from a federal game officer. A local game warden, possibly, but probably just more poop. I could very easily get on a rant here that would be sooo much fun, but would probably end this thread. Just as an aside, FBI and DoJ. Need I say more.
