My wife (and no yall can not have her )

bought me a new savage 10 sr le rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. Can't wait to put some rounds down the tube even if they are only break in rounds.

Since the 6.5 game is now new to me. Is there any thing I need to know. I will eventually be working up some loads for her, just need to know what will fly well out of a 24" barrel with a 2" muzzle brake.

Got a couple pounds of that also. Lol. Do you know it there is a 160 grn pill and if so who makes it. Like I said I'm new to the 6.5

A 160 would be pretty slow out of a 6.5 Creed. I would look at the 147 ELD-M as the heaviest I would want. Personally I shoot 140 Hybrid bergers and they are easy to tune and shoot great. Good luck.

Get yourself some hornady 140 eld-m and some rl-16 or h4350. I'm running rl-16 right now and my SDs are really good and it seems very stable.

I'm a huge fan of the 120 class 6.5 bullets. But then again I'm a huge fan of the inferior 6.5x47L!

What do you plan on doing with the rifle? That will dictate what you should get for bullets, but the 140 eld-m is a pretty universal bullet. Capable of hunting medium game and varmints as well as an excellent target bullet for out to about 1300 yards depending on your speeds.
