who does a quality rebore with a reasonable turn around time?

A re-bore of an existing barrel and a new barrel are very near the same cost. The only time a re-bore might pay off is if the barrel is 'special' in some way (has an integral rib, is octagon with integral sight ramps, etc).

I appreciate the info, the reason's i would consider a rebarrel :
A: this is a 760 remington and finding barrels is muchmore difficult than say a 700
B: the barrel is an 18 1/2 inches and i figure would be a better fit for the larger bore and rifle configuration ( pump action)
C: i want a 338/06

If i could find a direct replacement barrel i would purchase it although i always figured that the extra short length was robbing the 280 of some of its magic.
