Anyone have info on the release of the 245gr EOL in 30cal from berger? Been a while since it was announced.
Same place as unicorn powder, pixie dust and their 155g 6.5mm bullet.
Yeah, I'm aware of the changes to the bullet that we still haven't seen...Its now the 156 6.5 Bullet.
If your running the 230 now and have a good load I wouldn't worry about the 245, I doudt with the velocity drop you will gain anything.Anyone have info on the release of the 245gr EOL in 30cal from berger? Been a while since it was announced.
Exactly. Allow me to preface this by stating that I shoot Berger bullets in six of my rifles. It's marketing mostly hype seeking to create a buzz that doesn't mean anything for the majority of 30 cal shooters. I know only a couple of guys shooting 8 twist or 9 twist 30 caliber large capacity magnums, 30/338 Lapua, 300 RUM, ect. that could send anything bigger that the existing 230g offerings they already haven't been able to effectively supply over the last several years.Instead of coming out with heavier and touch higher B.C bullets why dont they work on getting the B.C better with what they already have would be more beneficial to us shooters and produce them.
They are saying .800 BC and better. There currant 230 is .717 So it would be a step up for sure. But the loss of speed could offset it.
