I installed a aimpoint Hunter model. It's probably 20 years old, It has a 3 moa dot and it has a longer tube that I installed 2 30mm rings to a rail to the receiver. I was going to just buy 2 30mm Ruger rings and mount to the gun directly but never did. It's more for a rifle that never jams and is light and fast. I usually only shoot it at 25-50 yards so I never really cared about the accuracy. If I want real accuracy I would grab my Les Baer 20" AR. As for the trigger it sucks, but it will always have a place in the safe. If you want magnification I would suggest a 1-6 power scope and not worry about adjusting clicks just hold over for something close range and to keep weight down.
This is just my 2 cents,
Good luck with your new scope,
Jason
