I have figured out that I want a 20 MOA picattiny base for my savage 16 w/rnd rear rec. but which make? and what height and make of rings for a 1" tube 40mm obj. scope. I have read on other threads to stay away from some brands. Does the base need to be bedded? I was hoping that I wouldn't have to lap the rings.
