What is the best paint that will adhere to the Remington Synthetic Stock and blued barrel? Also, does anyone have any good tricks/advice that you can share?
Go to a local archery shop and buy the Bohning spray paint for bows. Works good and you can take off later. Must clean all with denatured alcohol first.
I went to Wal-Mart and found some Krylon Cammo paint that worked pretty well on my coyote gun.
I painted it first with green and then made a bunch of triangles out of 2" wide masking tape. I covered about 40% of the gun with the triangles and then shot the tan on.
It has stayed on for 2 seasons so far and this rifle is carried in my truck every day.
Corbett,
Not sure how it works on the Rem syn stocks, but I'm sure they could tell you, but this place called camoit.com does (for $150) water transfer polymer coatings on stocks, barreled actions etc. Something to consider as well.
Jeff in Texas could tell you more, maybe he'll post a pic of his rifle for you.
