I'm building a 300nm imp and possibly a 338 lapua imp.
My question is on bore dimensions for accuracy without blowing up bullets.
Was going to nitride the barrels. Normal bore/groove is 300/308. I was thinking of going tighter for velocity and maybe slightly better life but not crazy. Was
thinking of 299/3075. Anyone have any experience with tight bores?
Figuring I might retain a little more velocity after nit riding and .0005 taller lands.
