One thing id like to add is that a scope may not move with the same amount of error across its entire range.

By testing a scope over a large range you factor the total error out across the range tested. This is usually the best bet.

I will test the optic at increasing increments (20,40,60 moa), and average the error for each increment, observe the results, and then either apply the average of the MOA range i use the most or average the entire results. With good optics there usually is very little difference between the two options.

Ps my last test resulted in correction factors of .993. This made a difference of .3 moa at 41 moa of travel. Pretty trivial for this optic.
