Having a conversation here and thought I would check with the group. Considering SD/BC differences, would the 140gr Berger VLD's penetration depth likely be 6.5>270>7mm if traveling at the same velocity and therefore the long range terminal performance likely greater using higher SD option? Is there any advantage to using the larger caliber in this example considering the higher BC and SD of the smaller caliber?

Based on your scenario, you're correct.
The issue is that velocity won't be the same and not factored in the equation is the energy transfer differences due to the meplat. Kind of like when a 9mm and 45 acp hit with the same energy, which one has more smack? Also in this scenario you're attacking the deck (optimal for the 6.5 and handcuffing the other 2).
Many Berger drt shots don't exit.
This is a fun mental exercise.
