Sun shade attachment?

G'day all,
Have 3 new to me scopes with aluminium flip-up covers which are easily removed, but I bought 3 3" sunshades to suit…..problem is they do not screw into the part that the flip-up covers do.
I am confused, because the inner ring does not unscrew and there are no notches to insert a tool to remove it.
The scopes in question are ZeroTech Trace scopes in 3-18x50, 4.5-27x50 (SFP & FFP).
Anyone have an idea what to do?

sounds like you have two choices. Flip-ups OR sunshade. Pick one......

Hmmmm, there must be a solution otherwise they wouldn't offer the sunshade.
