Has anyone done much checkering on wood or laminate stocks? I am going to pick up an unfinished laminate for my Savage 10MLII this winter and wanted to do some checkering on it if I can. I have a checkering set that is my dad's, he did a nice job with it on a stock 30 years ago but the instructions are long gone and he did not remember a lot of the details.
