I am looking for a scope to put on my first Ruger M77 MkII RSI in .308 which has the polished blue finish (not matte like the Hawkeye).I do not want the scope to over power the gun or take away from the looks.
However, I want to be able to have a good picture and shoot deer up to 200 yards.
I am considering the VX-2 in 2x7x33 or 6x26 FX-II.
What are your thoughts?
Would you mess the B&C Reticle or just Duplex?
One last word - I have several Matte Finish Leupold on guns that have polished steel and they look fine to me. I do not think I would like the Gloss Finish on this gun.
