Scope durability

How hard is it on a scope to leave it at the bottom of the elevation adjustment? Say you have a scope with 40 MOA adjustment, you install a 20 MOA rail and your 100 yard zero is 4 clicks off the bottom of the elevation adjustment. Will leaving it set a the 100 yard zero most of the time harm the scope?

I doubt that it will hurt the scope, but I suppose it could be detrimental to the accuracy of the adjustments to be at their limits. I would imagine the higher end scopes would be less affected as a lower quality one, just due to the tolerences. I, for one, would not want my scope to be at its' limit, just to be confident of its' accuracy. To be close to the limit, shouldn't be a problem. If it is, you probably need a different scope.
